Surface preparation: the existing floor or concrete substrate is ground or shot blast, cleaned, and prepped to create a smooth, porous surface for the epoxy to adhere to. We achieve a CSP 3 (concrete surface profile) conducive to industry application standards.

Epoxy application: a layer of epoxy is applied to the floor also known as a basecoat. In certain cases, primer coats are laid first on soft, porous, substrates. Moisture vapor barriers are laid on floors with moisture issues present and can be tented and used as a part of the process.

Flake broadcast: decorative flakes, also known as vinyl chips, or mica chip blends are evenly distributed across the wet epoxy, creating the desired pattern and texture. patterns include partial broadcast and full broadcast. Borders and other decorative options are available.

Topcoat application: after the flakes have set and the epoxy has dried, we scraped the floors free of excess chips. Once the floor is clean, a clear topcoat is applied (poly) to seal the floor, providing extra protection, slip resistance, and a glossy finish if desired.
