Our Process:
FloorRescue® is a turnkey professional installer of commercial and industrial concrete and epoxy floor systems out of Dallas, Texas, We know that details are important for a successful concrete or epoxy floor installation.
Inspection and Testing
When we install a floor, we inspect the area prior to installation to determine the right floor system required for the area. Next, we perform additional tests based on the condition of the slab, use of space, age of the building, and more. These tests may include Calcium Chloride or Relative Humidity testing to determine the moisture content of the slab, analysis for contamination, and bond testing. We also test for concrete hardness and inspect any repairs for aesthetic and structural purposes. We want our floors to perform just as good as the look.
Substrate Preparation
Based on the information found from these tests and onsite visits, the area is prepared using media blasting, diamond grinding, and chipping hammers. If slabs are determined to be contaminated with oils and contaminants, de-greasing or other aggressive solutions may be necessary to achieve proper adhesion. Preparation is the most important process to ensure there is a proper bond to the substrate.
Application
Installation of the concrete|epoxy floor system will vary depending on the specific system (broadcast, mortar, self leveler, identifier, polishing). The common installation procedures vary from screeding and troweling the material, squeegeeing and rolling the material, and broadcasting the material. All details, including waterproofing, cove base, penetrations, drains, etc., are discussed prior to installation. These will be handled properly to ensure a good quality concrete|epoxy floor installations with our in-house professionally trained installation teams.
