FloorRescue® Project Highlight - Concrete Overlay Systems

Concrete overlays came out when Decorative Concrete started meeting some challenges when existing concrete slab conditions or other substrates were not meeting the design needs or aesthetics of a commercial space or interior of a home. Underlaymenst have always been around as a means to patch, skim or float out concrete that was damaged so that floor coverings could be laid over the top. When concrete has damage or a lot of repairs, the appearance may not be so attractive. Cracks, tack-strip holes, plumbers trenches, electrical cutouts and stains or ghost lines can cause permanent damage to a concrete floor altering the beauty of a natural looking slab forever. Above is Jeremy Redig of FloorRescue® is applying a micro-top overlay before staining and sealing on a residential project in Texas.
